Winter returns to Southwestern Lower Michigan.
Have you ever wondered what keeps our pickles from freezing in the dead of winter? Well, each tank has over four tons of salt in it. Thats right! Over 8,000 lbs of rock salt are added to each tank after the fermentation process is completed. This not only helps maintain the crispy crunch that you've come to expect from Freestone. It also allows us to work out of each tank during the dead of winter.
